Sometimes you’re in the mood to treat yourself to a good meal, and small portions (however delicious they may be) just don’t cut it. For these occasions, check out our list of 5 great buffets for when you just want to pig out, and remember to turn up with an empty stomach for maximum mileage!
#1: Mitsuba Japanese Restaurant
At Mitsuba, the a la carte buffet menu consists of over 130 items, so you’ll definitely be spoilt for choice. Don’t know where to start? Must-tries include the Buta Kakuni and the Dobin Mushi. The former is a braised pork belly dish which is the epitome of decadence, and the latter is a yummy traditional Japanese seafood broth served in a teapot.

#2: Window On The Park
We love the ambience at Window On The Park, and it’s a great place to go if you want to celebrate a birthday or treat a loved one to a special meal. The buffet consists of both local and international dishes, and you’ll definitely find something to suit everyone’s tastebuds. Our vote goes to the Fresh Oysters (hands up if you also head straight for the seafood aisle during buffets!), and the Grilled Tumeric Fish with Kemangi Leaf.

#3: Shin Minori Japanese Restaurant
Shin Minori is forever packed with customers, and for good reason – this place is known for its value-for-money buffet featuring fresh, good quality Japanese dishes at affordable prices. One thing that we like about Shin Minori is that they offer swordfish sashimi, which not every Japanese restaurant does. The Japanese Garlic Fried Rice is another dish that you won’t want to miss out on.

#4: Makan @ Jen
Makan@Jen offers a myriad of buffet options such as their Weekday Lunch Semi Buffet (such a steal at $11.90++), their International Buffet, and their Seafood Buffet. If you’re a seafood lover, you have to try this place – they have an impressive selection of fresh seafood such as whole mud crabs, lobsters, snow crab claws, and then the regular oysters, tiger prawns, clams, mussels and sashimi as well.
Hotel Jen Orchardgateway Singapore, 238858
#5: Escape Restaurant and Lounge
Feeling a little carnivorous lately? Time to check out Escape Restaurant and Lounge. They have a good variety of dishes, and they do their meats especially well. We’re talking about the Seared Salmon Cubes (crispy on the outside, soft on the inside) and the Black Angus Beef (cooked to a faultless medium rare and seasoned to perfection) in particular.
