Bun. Patty. Cheese. Lettuce. Sauce. That’s the basic recipe for our favourite comfort food – a burger. In fact, burgers are literally the most popular comfort food internationally, that’s why we wrote about our favourite burgers last year as well (see article here).
However, in recent times, we’ve witnessed the evolution of a burger into mouthwatering, irresistible pieces of work, with patties made from ingredients like Wagyu or even crabmeat and slathered with creative sauces. So here’s our 2016 Top 6 Favourite Burgers in Singapore that you absolutely have to try!
#1. Pulled Duck Burger, The BetterfieldThe Betterfield has done a great job making this burger look like a piece of (delicious) art! With a charcoal bun, tender premium pulled duck meat and a secret Thai chilli sauce – this is the signature dish that boosted The Betterfield’s popularity for all the right reasons!
While you are there, don’t forget to try their Roasted Duck Fat Potatoes. One of the best entrees there, the duck fat infused potatoes are topped with shredded slow-baked duck and drizzled with nacho cheese and truffle mayo. You’re welcome for the recommendation!

#2. Chilli Crab Burger, Artistry Café
Another well-known burger in Singapore is definitely the Chilli Crab Burger from Artistry. Chilli Crab has always been a national favourite, and Artistry has successfully recreated it in a burger form! We love how the patty is crispy and generously made of crabmeat, which goes perfectly with their housemade chilli crab sauce that we can’t get enough of. Tip: Dip your fries in that sauce too, if you have any left.
Still hungry after your meal? Indulge in their popular PB&J French Toast made with peanut butter and raspberry jelly, topped with vanilla bean ice cream. Be warned, this dish is not made for sharing.

#3. Everything Also Salted Egg Burger, Black Tongue Bistro & BarIn response to this year’s food trend of salted egg yolk on EVERYTHING, Black Tongue Bistro & Bar has created a new Matcha & Charcoal Burger menu. One of the hot picks from this menu is “Everything Also Salted Egg”, which features grilled chicken thigh on homemade bun (charcoal or matcha) dressed and garnished with salted egg yolk sauce, curry leaves, chili padi and chopped salted egg yolk.
We love how thick and creamy the salted egg yolk sauce is, as well as the little kick the curry leaves and chilli gives. Yum!
